The central location of Makkum in Friesland makes it easy to explore the province. The capital Leeuwarden is at a 40-minute driving distance from the hotel and certainly worth a visit, as is the smaller town of Sneek with its cosy city centre, which is at a 24-minute drive away. But the various small villages and towns in the area are also worth a visit, such as Bolsward, Stavoren, Harlingen and Workum.
Bringing a pet with you during your stay at Strandhotel Vigilante? Then choose a standard land view room - pets allowed. These are the only room types where dogs are allowed. Dogs are welcome in our hotel only upon request prior to your stay and are not allowed on beds or furniture.
From April 15 to October 1, dogs are not allowed on the beach. Outside this period dogs are allowed on the beach on a leash.
